UK Facades Ltd offer complete façade & roofing solutions primarily for the residential market, from initial preliminary design to practical site completion, utilising many materials including SFS, Curtain Walling systems, various Rain Screen systems (including Aluminium, Insulated Render, Zinc, Terne Steel, Stone, etc.), complex feature fascias, copings, as well as GRC and Precast concrete cladding.

 

Purpose/Objective

The successful candidate will become a member of the Quality Control Team of UK Facades Ltd, working alongside the Quality Manager. The candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the construction of building envelopes in high value projects, including collaborative work with other divisions of the JRL Group. The candidate will receive extensive and thorough assistance by our Quality and Project Teams, and will have the opportunity to progress throughout the team.

In the early phase of your employment, you’ll be mainly learning about the products being used and the (onsite) procedures to be followed. At the same time you need to get familiar with utilizing the Fieldview system. Gradually you’ll get more responsibilities in setting up the Fieldview system, quality procedures and standards for future projects and you’ll be auditing ongoing projects. You’ll report directly to the Quality Manager and become one of our key employees safeguarding the quality of the final products.

 

Role

The post holder will learn and undertake the following listed duties:

  • Assist with setting up Inspection and Test Plans
  • Calibrate buildings, with Fieldview, and set up the full Field View systems
  • Audit on site quality control procedures and standards
  • Ensure to familiarize with the specific projects and the scope of works for UK Facades.
  • Familiarize with the cohesion between details and the final products
  • Ensuring all project procedures are carried out in accordance with the Company’s standards
  • Documenting and archiving quality related documents.
  • Improve quality and test procedures where necessary
  • Participating in team meetings with Main Contractors, Suppliers and Subcontractors
  • Be (-come) a HS&E Certified professional to be able to inspect on sites.
  • Completing other duties as may be reasonably required commensurate with the jobholder’s level assigned by Senior staff.

  • Dealing with all clients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained as specified by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
  • Participating in education and training as necessary, to enable the achievement of company objectives as communicated to you
  • Working as part of a team and maintaining a harmonious working environment, remaining aware of and adhering to requirements of the company culture – vision and values in all people, interactions and morale both inside and outside the company.
  • Travel as required to attend client meetings and visits to factory and suppliers.

 

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications - HNC level qualification or above, preferably in construction or engineering related subject
  • Experience –
  • Key Skills –Experience in Microsoft Office (essential). Quick learner (essential). Technically minded with high attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (Essential). Ability to work effectively both alone and contributing to a team environment. Ability to read technical drawings.
